The White Garden at White Wall SpaceSimon Kirk and Thames Estuary Dovecote are at White Wall Space for the month of August. As a preview exhibition, with works for sale by
Simon Kirk and participative artwork by Madelaine Murphy, White Wall Space is celebrating with The White Garden. The Dovecote will gradually collect contributions from visitors, with white origami birds and flowers. Meanwhile, Simon Kirks work buzzes with colour, and bumblebees, a signature of Simons, will merge with the flowers.
White Wall Space is a contemporary art gallery at Leigh Hill, Leigh On Sea, Essex, exhibiting a range of artists, designers, photographers, and illustrators with accessibly priced work. Simon Fowler, Director of White Wall Space said "I'm really interested in bringing these two artists together, and to see the riot of colour and the tranquility of the white origami. A white garden is associated with romance, peace, and elegance. White flowers create a luminescent sight in twilight, and our location near the Estuary will bring some beautiful natural light to these artists' work."

"I'm really looking forward to Dovecote at White Wall Space, it's very exciting to be exhibiting at the opening of this new Gallery. I hope that visitors to the White Wall Space create a small artwork in response to The White Garden. The location of the Gallery at The Old Town in Leigh On Sea, the commuters enjoying their weekend, the local community, and visitors to the area will all bring a mix of reflections on the ideas in the artwork - travel, migration, communication, community, a sense of location." Madelaine Murphy said. Visitors to the gallery can create a small artwork in response to the idea of The White Garden, and add it to the installation. Madelaine will be at the gallery at selected times.
